Speaker Bio

Neil T. Goldstein is a Software and App Developer with the 72nd Air Base Wing Communications Directorate at Tinker AFB, where he leads rapid automation development, automation strategy, and the Center of Automation program. His work sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, enterprise modernization, and mission‑focused software delivery.

He also serves as a community leader within the AFMC Automation Working Group, helping shape command‑wide standards for automation, data‑driven decision support, and scalable digital tooling. His membership in the DAF365 Champions community speaks to his passion for frontier capability delivery and future-focused efforts. He is active within the AFSC Data Strategy Working Group, the DoW Automation Consortium, the ENVISION Builder community, and the WDP Builder community, among other analytics, cloud capability, and software development initiatives.

Neil joined the Air Force as a civilian in 2022 after supporting the 72nd ABW as a contractor in web and application development. Since arriving at Tinker, he has built deep expertise in Microsoft cloud platforms, enterprise automation frameworks, software sustainment, and the governance models required to operate modern digital capabilities inside a complex DoW environment. His current focus is integrating the layers of Digital Transformation, Process & Workflow Automation, Process Improvement & Art of the Possible efforts already underway, across AFMC, and aligning emerging technologies - AI models, machine learning workflows, and business intelligence practices - with real operational needs.

Before joining the Air Force, Neil spent seven years supporting the FAA as a contractor, progressing through roles in IT support, quality assurance, and help desk leadership. He redesigned hiring pipelines, built professional‑development frameworks, and developed internal tools for personnel management, project oversight, SLA tracking, and data analysis - early indicators of the process‑engineering mindset he brings to today’s cloud‑centric challenges.

Neil’s technical roots stretch back through his entire life, yet his first taste of professional IT came when he worked for a medical practice‑management firm and later helped grow the business through hands‑on work in cybersecurity, contract and vendor management, medical billing systems, database administration, and modern workplace architecture.

These experiences shaped his ability to bridge business needs with technical execution - an approach he continues to apply in the Air Force as he works to modernize workflows, integrate cloud services, and deliver scalable digital solutions to Airmen.
