Colonel Justin Ellsworth is the Senior Military Advisor on Cyber Operations to the Forces and Readiness Director within the Office of the Principal Cyber to the Secretary of Defense. In this role, he leverages extensive experience in military cyber operations to provide expert counsel on strategy, policy, and implementation related to cyberspace activities. He advises the Director on critical matters spanning national security, defense capabilities, and the evolving cyber threat landscape, ensuring alignment between military cyber operations and broader Department of Defense cyber policy objectives.

Prior to this role, he served as the Division Chief, Cyber Force Management Division and Career Field Manager for the Warfighter Communications & Cyberspace Operations Officers & Warrant Officers for Headquarters, United States Air Force. 

Colonel Ellsworth entered the Air Force in 2006 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Connecticut. He earned his Communications Badge at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi
