Captain Lee Lambert leads Platform One’s Iron Bank, a 40-member team that is the Department of the Air Force's (DAF’s) premier supply chain security enterprise platform. He oversees the technical delivery of vetted software containers, facilitating collaboration among open-source communities, industry partners, the DAF, Department of Defense (DoD), and Five Eyes (FVEY) nations. His team provides security artifacts to over 125 programs, enabling rapid deployment of trusted software solutions that strengthen global defense capabilities. Captain Lambert commissioned through ROTC at Arizona State University in November 2018, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after beginning his career as an A-10 Structural Engineer at Hill Air Force Base (AFB), he completed his Acquisitions Management training in 2019. While at Hill AFB, he qualified as an Air Battle Damage Repair (ABDR) Engineer; this expertise enabled him to serve as the onsite engineer for two F-16 squadrons at Misawa AB, Japan from September 2020 to March 2021. There, he developed specialized tooling and oversaw the Air Force's first unit-level F-16 re-winging operation. Upon returning to the United States, Captain Lambert served as an Engineering Program Manager and Major Range and Test Facility Engineer for the Utah Test and Training Range until 2022. He then transferred to Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, where he served as Deputy Section Chief and bio-information analyst in the 711th Human Performance Wing. During this assignment, he contributed to an Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) innovation team supporting INDOPACOM Explosive Ordnance Disposal operations. Prior to his current position, the captain was a Student at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH where he graduated with his MS in Computer Science. He is married to the love of his life, Jennifer, and together they have four children.
