John Harbaugh is the CIO & CISO at BlueVoyant, where he leads the company's global IT infrastructue, security posture, cyber defense strategy, and internal security operations. He brings over 25 years of experience spanning public and private sectors, with a career defined by leading full-spectrum cybersecurity, AI analytics, and enterprise technology organizations in mission-critical, zero-failure environments.

Prior to joining BlueVoyant, John served as a Managing Director at Deloitte, where he developed and scaled advanced cyber operations and AI-enabled threat intelligence solutions for major U.S. government and commercial enterprise clients. Before Deloitte, he served as Chief Operating Officer at R9B where he directed enterprise operations, product strategy, acquisitions, and the launch of award-winning MDR capabilities that led to two successful exits.

John held Senior Executive Service leadership positions within the U.S. Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Among his many "firsts," he stood up the U.S. Air Force's cyber capability and was recognized as the Air Force Association's Jimmy Doolittle Fellow for Cyber Operations, was a Master-level certified cyber operator, led the creation of the first commercially available cyber hunt platform and the industry's matching 24/7 service offering. John is also a patent holder and has served on a U.S. government advisory panel, providing expert counsel to senior leaders on cyber defense and emerging technologies.

John's expertise spans enterprise security strategy, AI-driven threat intelligence, global MDR operations, full-spectrum cyber operations and building organizations where mission success is non-negotiable.
