Dewayne Hart is a cybersecurity speaker, author, and U.S. Navy veteran who has lived the operator-to-leader path he teaches. A sought-after voice on AI, cyber, and workforce readiness, he speaks regularly for AFCEA — including the AFCEA Atlanta chapter — and has presented at national venues such as the National Cybersecurity Summit ("Cracking the Code: The Dual Relationship Between AI & Cybersecurity"), the Incyber Forum ("AI and Modern Warfare"), Techno Security & Digital Forensics, and Capitol Technology University. Through his Chief of Cybersecurity podcast and "Cyber Talk" engagements, he translates complex security concepts into actionable strategy for executives, operators, and the next generation of defenders. Over twenty years in the U.S. Navy, Dewayne rose from maintaining computer and weapons-defense systems to leading information-security efforts — the same progression this session helps the DAF build deliberately. Today he is the Founder and CEO of Secure Managed Instructional Systems (SEMAIS), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in cybersecurity advisory and workforce development. He holds the CISSP, CEH, CGRC, and CND certifications and a Master of Science in Information Assurance, and has strengthened cyber and workforce programs across the DoD and federal government, including the U.S. Army, Defense Logistics Agency, and Department of Veterans Affairs.
