Major Turner B. Walton is the Contracting Chief of the Warfighter Operations Division at the Air Force Business Enterprise Systems Directorate, Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, Alabama. He is responsible for leading 3 branches providing contracting support to the Enterprise Acquisitions, Enterprise Operations, Robotic Process Automation, and Product Innovations teams within the Business Enterprise Systems Directorate. He leads a highly skilled division of mission-focused business leaders supporting the Department of War through a $2.4 billion enterprise-wide Information Technology contract portfolio. Major Walton received his commission through the United States Air Force Academy in 2014. In his first assignment at Eglin Air Force Base, he experienced the full spectrum of operational contracting, gaining experience in commodities, services, construction, and research and development. At the Defense Contract Management Agency, Major Walton served as the Chief Joint Program Administrative Contracting Officer where he led 28 acquisition professionals across 3 geographic locations managing 6 Acquisition Category I programs with a $60.3B portfolio. His contracting experience has spanned major programs across the Air Force, Army, Navy, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
